"Allegorie a la Nature"
Manufactured in France around 1900, this exquisite Art Nouveau mantel set, titled "Allégorie à la Nature," was created by the renowned French sculptor Charles Georges Ferville-Suan. This three-piece garniture consists of a central clock flanked by two matching side sculptures, all resting on polished vibrant green onyx bases.
The figures are crafted from patinated régule (spelter), with the central clock figure titled on a riveted cartouche "Coquetterie," depicting a draped woman holding flowers. This set is a significant example of early 20th-century French decorative arts, characterized by the fluid naturalism typical of the period.
