"Gone with the Wind"
This exquisite Victorian-style banquet or parlor lamp, was likely manufactured around 1900. It features a heavily ornamented cast metal base (likely bronze or spelter) adorned with intricate scrollwork and a cherub or face motif. The base is supported by small, ornate feet. Above the font (reservoir for oil) sits a frosted glass globe shade decorated with an etched Greek Key.
The style is often referred to as a "Gone with the Wind" lamp due to their prominent appearance in the 1939 film.
